Romanian President Pays Surprise Visit to Georgia

Romanian President Traian Basescu made a surprise stop in Tbilisi on his way back from Afghanistan on December 22, the Georgian President?s press office reported.

President Basescu who stayed in Tbilisi for couple of hours held talks with his Georgian counterpart Mikheil Saakashvili.

No other details of the visit are reported.

President Basescu has already visited Georgia once this year to participate in the celebration of the Rose Revolution on November 23.
