Russian-Georgian Business Forum Opens in Tbilisi
The Russian-Georgian Business Forum was opened in Tbilisi on December 17 with the participation of Russian and Georgian businessmen.
Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin, who arrived in Georgia to participate in the session of the Russian-Georgian intergovernmental commission on December 16, and Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli are also participating in the forum.
The prospects of attraction of Russian investments to Georgia are planned to be discussed at the forum.
It is unknown yet which facilities will be invested by Russian businessmen, however, it is apparent, that next year the Georgian authorities plan to sell energy facilities of the country.
A similar business forum was already held in Tbilisi in May 2004, when up to hundred business leaders of Russia arrived to discuss investment projects in Georgia.
