Parliament Approves Five New Ambassadors
The Georgian Parliament approved on December 9 five new ambassadorial candidates proposed by the President.
Vasil (Davit) Sikharulidze, who previously served as Deputy Defense Minister, was appointed as the Georgian Ambassador to the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Karlo (Kakha) Sikharulidze, former Deputy Foreign Minister, was approved as Ambassador to the Czech Republic.
Another former Deputy Foreign Minister – Konstantine Kavtaradze – was approved as Georgian Ambassador to Poland.
Nikoloz Nikolozishvili was approved as Ambassador to Slovakia and Slovenia, while Giorgi Janjgava, former consular in Turkey, will lead the Georgian diplomatic mission in Egypt and Syria.
