Conference to Discuss Media Development in South Caucasus
A two-day South Caucasus Media conference opened in Tbilisi on November 17 to exchange up-to-date views on the media situation in the region. This is the second South Caucasus Media conference that has been held in Tbilisi – the first one took place in October, 2004.
The OSCE-organized conference will gather about 60 representatives of media sources from Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia, as well as foreign experts. Discussions will focus on recent developments in media in the region and Public Service Broadcasting and the Internet as one of the main new challenges for freedom of media.
