OSCE PA President Visits Georgia

Visiting President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, U.S. Congressman Alcee L. Hastings held talks with Georgian Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze on November 9.

The issue of a peaceful resolution to the South Ossetian and Abkhaz conflicts was discussed during the talks. Nino Burjanadze informed the OSCE PA President with the details of peace plan on settlement of the South Ossetian conflict.

OSCE?s role in Georgia as well as other issues of mutual concern are also planned to be discussed during talks with other senior Georgian officials, the U.S. Embassy to Georgia reported on November 9.
