Georgians Released in S.Ossetia
Eight Georgian civilians detained earlier on Wednesday were released by the South Ossetian side after paying GEL 70 as a fine for cutting wood in the territory controlled by the breakaway region?s authorities, Vladimer Jugeli, chief of the Shida Kartli regional police told Civil Georgia.
Eight men, residents of Shida Kartli region which borders with breakaway South Ossetia, were arrested by South Ossetian militiamen in the Znauri district and accused of illegally cutting wood in the unrecognized republic.
