Parliament Debates Amendments to Criminal Code
Parliament started debates over amendments to the criminal code on November 8, proposed by the parliamentary committee for legal issues.
According to these amendments house arrest will be abolished and suspect may be either remanded in pre-trial custody or released on personal guarantee or on bail.
Bringing criminal charges will also be possible on the basis of a testimony by anonymous witness, according to the amendments.
The opposition parliamentarians say the amendments will restrict human rights.
