Moscow Proposes Talks Between Kokoity, Putin, Saakashvili
During the session of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) Ljubljana on November 16 Russian chief negotiator over South Ossetia Valery Kenyaikin proposed to hold talks between the Russian and Georgian Presidents, Vladimir Putin and Mikheil Saakashvili respectively, with the participation of South Ossetian leader Eduard Kokoity, Georgian media sources reported.
President of breakaway South Ossetian Eduard Kokoity also told reporters in the South Ossetian capital Tskhinvali on November 16 that such high-level talks would foster conflict resolution. It is most likely that the Georgian side will ignore this proposal by Moscow and Tskhinvali.
