Georgian PM to Address OSCE over South Ossetia

Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli intends to officially present President Saakashvili’s peace plan on South Ossetia at the OSCE Permanent Council, the main regular decision-making body of the organization, in Vienna on October 27, the Prime Minister?s press office reported.

The peace plan envisages granting South Ossetia ?broad autonomous status? within the Georgian state. However, the South Ossetian side, which aspires to join Russia?s North Ossetian Republic, has already rejected this proposal.

Reportedly, Zurab Nogaideli will also hold talks with the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Slovenian Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel.
