S.Ossetian Reports: Seven Injured in Tskhinvali Shelling
Breakaway South Ossetia?s Press and Information Committee reported that seven civilians, including a two-year-old child, were injured as a result of mortar shelling of South Ossetian capital Tskhinvali on September 20.
According to this report, mortar fire was opened at 7 am local time from the Georgian village of Ergneti, south of Tskhinvali.
The Georgian side has not yet commented on this report.
The South Ossetian side has also reported that Tskhinvali was targeted by mortar shelling in the midst of ?a concert dedicated to celebrations of South Ossetia?s Independence Day.?
