Ramishvili Sentenced to Custody

The Tbilisi City Court sentenced Shalva Ramishvili, a co-founder of Tbilisi-based private television station 202, who faces extortion charges, to three-month pre-trial custody on August 29.
 
Ramishvili is accused of attempted extortion of USD 100,000 from parliamentarian from the ruling National Movement party Koba Bekauri. Ramishvili dismisses accusations as a ?provocation.?
