CIS Foreign Ministers Meet in Moscow
A session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was launched in Moscow on August 23 under the chairmanship of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
According to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, the Georgian side is represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Merab Antadze.
The issues of reformation of the CIS, as well as a series of humanitarian and social cooperation issues are planned to be discussed.
The session is held shortly prior to the Summit of the CIS leaders scheduled for August 26 in Kazan, Russia.
