South Ossetian Leader Meets German Ambassador

President of breakaway South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity held talks with German Ambassador to Georgia Uwe Schramm on August 18, the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee reported.
 
The role of the international community and international organizations in the peace process and trust-building initiatives between the Georgian and South Ossetian sides were discussed during the meeting, according to the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee.
 
The office of Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues reported on August 17 that the German Ambassador planned to inform the South Ossetian leader about the results of the international conference over South Ossetia, which was held in Batumi in July.
