Khaindrava: Beslan not an Issue for Political Wrangling

Georgian Minister for Conflict Resolution Giorgi Khaindrava said that the Beslan tragedy in North Ossetia, where innocent children died in a terrorist siege, is “not an issue for political wrangling.”

Khaindrava was commenting on yesterdays’s statement of the head of South Ossetian interior ministry Mikhail Mindzaev who said “we know that the terrorist act in Beslan was organized from Tbilisi. We know who was meeting whom, when and where in Georgia before the Beslan tragedy.”

Mindzaev was responding to Georgian allegations that the blast in Gori on February 1, 2005, which killed three policemen, was organized by a group of saboteurs trained by Russian intelligence in South Ossetia.
