Saakashvili Hails Humanitarian Aid to South Ossetia
President Mikheil Saakashvili welcomed an initiative put forth by academician Pridon Todua over the granting of breakaway South Ossetia medical equipment – computer tomography.
?We welcome all the initiatives [both government and private] associated with the resolution of the conflict… Moreover, we are ready to carry out other humanitarian programs,? President Saakashvili said.
He said that in support of Todua?s initiative, the Georgian government is ready to grant South Ossetia ambulances and new buses free of charge.
