New Rights to Cooperate with Opposition Parties in By-Elections

The New Rights opposition party announced at the session on June 29 that it has accepted proposal of another opposition Conservative Party to hold primaries among the opposition parties in an attempt to nominate joint candidacies for the MP by-elections, which will be held in Georgia?s five single-mandate constituencies this autumn.

Leader of the New Rights MP Davit Gamkrelidze said at the session that the party is also holding consultation with the opposition Republican Party over the MP nominations in Adjara Autonomous Republic?s Batumi and Kobuleti single mandate constituencies.

He also said that the party has already decided that it wants Giorgi Mosidze, the member of the Tbilisi City Council, to run in Tbilisi?s Isani single-mandate constituency, Nino Kvariani ? in Tkibuli single-mandate constituency and Vakhtang Zoidze ? in Adjara?s Shuakhevi single-mandate constituency.
