Georgia Denies Visas for Russian Soldiers
Deputy Commander of the Headquarters of Group of Russian Troops in Trans Caucasus, Col. Vladimir Kuparadze said on June 28 that Tbilisi?s denial to issue entry visas to the Russian servicemen can hinder Russian bases withdrawal, Interfax news agency reported.
Kuparadze said that the Georgian side has not given yet any explanation, why the Foreign Ministry denies issuing visas for those 1,320 servicemen who plan to rotate Russian soldiers currently serving in Russian military bases located in Batumi and Akhalkalaki.
