Georgia Commits to Solve Conflicts Peacefully
Georgian authorities have undertaken commitment under the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) with NATO to solve conflicts in Abkhazia and South Ossetia by peaceful means.
?Frozen conflicts in Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali Region (South-Ossetia) hinder the stable development of the country. They also pose a threat to the internal and international security, as they create fertile grounds for terrorism, organized crime, and drug and arms trafficking. The Georgian Government is committed to solving these problems by peaceful means, in co-operation with relevant international organizations in accordance with appropriate international standards,? the document, which sets Georgia?s reform goals, reads.
