Ex-President of Football Federation Sentenced to Custody

On April 9 the court sentenced Merab Zhordania, ex-President of the Georgian Football Federation (GFF), to three-month pre-trial custody.

Zhordania filed for resignation after he was arrested for alleged misappropriation charges on April 7.

Executive Committee of the GFF decided on Saturday that elections of the new President of Federation will be held on June 10, 2005.
