Interior Minister Visits Tsalka District

A 30-strong special purpose unit from the Interior Ministry will patrol the villages of the multi-ethnic Tsalka district in the Kvemo Kartli region, following clashes between the local populations, which erupted after a burglary case there on March 17.

Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili, who visited the Tsalka district on March 20, said that the small police unit will aim at preventing ?burglary? and ?tensions between the local populations.?
