New Chief of Police Appointed in Shida Kartli

On March 13 Vladimer Jugeli was appointed new chief of police of the Shida Kartli region, shortly after the dismissal of Aleksandre Sukhitashvili on the same day.


This reshuffle comes after President Saakashvili accused the police officials in Shida Kartli of partaking in smuggling on Sunday.
