Power Line Damaged in Kodori

High-voltage power line Kavkasioni was damaged on January 18 in Kodori gorge, which is the only territory in breakaway Abkhazia under the Tbilisi?s control.

Official say damage was caused by bullet shot. Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania described the incident as sabotage.

Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili told reporters that the special purpose unit of the Interior Ministry was dispatched to Kodori gorge to ensure security of specialists working over restoration of the damaged power line.
