Four Russians Detained for Illegal Border Crossing

Georgian police detained four citizens of Russia on January 7 in the village of Tkviavi, in the South Ossetian conflict zone. Officials say that the Russian citizens entered Georgia illegally.

One local Georgian policeman was also arrested on the same day. He is suspected of taking bribes in exchange for helping facilitate illegal entry into Georgia.
