Saakashvili: Georgia Gets Ready for Reintegration

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on November 23 that the authorities are waiting for a particular moment to restore the country?s territorial integrity.

?We are getting ready for it. The time will come when we should settle the conflicts [in breakaway Abkhazia and South Ossetia],? Saakashvili said in an interview with the Georgian televisions.

?We are closely watching the developments in Abkhazia. Both Abkhazians and Ossetians are our brothers. However, an Abkhazian or Ossetian, who says that he does not live on the territory of Georgia will be our enemy,? Saakashvili added.

He said, Georgia does not want to launch a war, but ?each Georgia should be able to defend their native land.?
