Foreign Minister Meets with CoE Delegation
Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili met with the Monitoring Group of the Ambassadors of the Council of Europe (CoE) member states on November 17.
The issues of rule of law and democratic principles in Georgia and the implementation of the commitments assumed before the Council of Europe were discussed during the talks.
?This organization has always supported us. Probably, they will actively participate in preparation of the local elections scheduled for next year,? Salome Zourabichvili said after the talks.
The issues of settlement of the South Ossetian and Abkhazian conflicts and the definition of their status, as well as freedom of the media, protection of human rights and religious minorities were also discussed during the talks.
