Russian Soldiers Arrested in Adjara

Three servicemen from a Russian military based in Batumi, in the Adjara Autonomous Republic, are being accused of robbery and were detained overnight on October 17.

Giorgi Papuashvili, chief of Adjara?s Interior Ministry Department, told reporters that all the necessary investigative procedures, including searching the detainees, were carried out in the presence of representatives from the command of the Russian military base.
