Tbilisi Accuses Adjarian Officials of Drug Trafficking

Interior Minister Giorgi Baramidze said on April 16 that drugs are both produced and transported across Adjarian Autonomy. The same day Deputy Security Minister Gigi Ugulava stated, “mini laboratories for production of drugs are operating in Adjara.”

Interior Minister of the Adjarian Autonomy Jemal Gogitidze dismissed the statements as “groundless and ridiculous.”
