Rightist Opposition Informed U.S. Ambassador over Violations

U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Richard Miles met today with the leaders of the Rightist Opposition – Industrialists – New Rights coalition.
 
Davit Gamkrelidze, one of the leaders of the coalition, said the U.S. Ambassador was briefed over violations reported during the March 28 parliamentary elections.
 
U.S. diplomat told reporters after the meeting that he would notify the U.S. government regarding these violations.
 
Richard Miles also intends to hold meetings with the representatives of other opposition parties as well.
 
According to the preliminary results of the Central Election Commission (CEC), the Rightist Opposition garnered 7, 62% of votes in the Sunday’s elections.
