Georgians Living in Gali Can Cast Ballot in Zugdidi

Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Zurab Tchiaberashvili told a press conference on March 27, that Georgians living in Gali district of breakaway Abkhazia may cast ballot in the neighboring Zugdidi district, which is under the Georgian authorities control.
 
“The Georgians, who live in the Gali district can go to the Zugdidi polling stations and make their choice there. However, as far as I know, de facto authorities of Abkhazia hinder Georgians to cast ballot. We hope, that they will still manage to participate in the elections,” Zurab Tchiaberashvili said on March 27.
