Ex-Chief of Georgian Gold-Mining Company Arrested in Switzerland

Georgian General Prosecutor’s Office reports that the Swiss police arrested Zurab Lobzhanidze, former President of the state-owned Madneuli gold-mining company.

Zurab Lobzhanidze is wanted by Georgia for misappropriation of funds from the gold-mining company.

Georgian Prosecutor General Irakli Okruashvili said that Georgia wants Lobzhanidze’s extradition, however, the permission of the Swiss court is needed at first.
