Saakashvili’s Close Ally to be Georgia’s Envoy to Russia
Georgian President Saakashvili said on February 1 that Kote Kemularia of National Movement party will become Georgia’s new ambassador to Russia.
Kemularia, who is Saakashvili’s close ally, will replace Zurab Abashidze as Georgia’s envoy to Moscow.
Saakashvili also said that the Parliament will discuss new candidacy in nearest days so that to he could make appointment before his visit to Moscow, scheduled in mid February.
Kote Kemularia is a lawyer and was the Justice Minister in early 90s. He also is the co-chairman of Saakashvili’s party National Movement and member of Parliament.
