National Movement Calls for High Voter Turnout

The members of the National Movement party, led by frontrunner presidential candidate Mikheil Saakashvili called on the population to participate in the January 4 presidential elections.

“We are afraid of disrupting the presidential elections. The fact that Adjara will participate in the elections does not mean that we can be calm. Until the election day is not over and we do not receive the results from Adjara, we cannot be calm,” Irakli Chubinishvili of the National Movement said at a news briefing on December 30.

The National Movement also warned that there are forces in the country, who are interested in disrupting the elections.
