Shevardnadze, Putin Discussed Situation in Georgia

President Shevardnadze held a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin today. 

Putin expressed interest in the current developments in Georgia as well as hope that the stability will be maintained. This is the second phone conversation between the two presidents in one week.  

Leader of the Adjara Autonomous Republic Aslan Abashidze is currently visiting Moscow.
