Exit Polls Say Opposition Wins in Single-Mandate Constituencies in Tbilisi

According to the preliminary results of exit polls, conducted by the U.S. polling firm Global Strategy Group the opposition MP candidates won the elections in the Tbilisi single-mandate constituencies. Below are the results of the preliminary results of the exit polls.

The Mtatsminda constituency:
Gigi Tsereteli of the Burjanadze-Democrats opposition election bloc takes the leading place in the Mtatsminda single-mandate constituency with 23,8%, followed by Gia Tortladze of the National Movement opposition bloc.
 
The Vake constituency:
Levan Gachechiladze of the New Rights opposition party – 29,9%;
Maia Nadiradze of the National Movement – 28,5% of votes;
Levan Chrdileli of the pro-presidential bloc For New Georgia – 10,4%.
 
The Saburtalo constituency:
Givi Targamadze of the National Movement – 20,8%;
Revaz Shavishvili of the New Rights – 18%;
Vasil Maghlaperidze of the Burjanadze-Democrats – 14,9%.
 
The Didube constituency:
Giorgi Baramidze of the Burjanadze-Democrats – 32,7%;
Jemal Margvelashvili – 13,8%
 
The Gldani constituency:
Koba Davitashvili of the National Movement – 23%;
Giorgi Gugava of the Labor Party – 16,8%;
Temur Gotsadze of the New Rights – 14,9%;
Guram Sharadze of For New Georgia bloc – 7%;
 
The Samgori constituency:
Mikheil Machavariani of the Burjanadze-Democrats – 22,8%;
Pantiko Tordia of the For New Georgia election bloc – 16,1%.

The U.S. polling firm Global Strategy Group, contracted by the Rustavi 2 broadcasting company with financial support of the Eurasia Foundation, the British Council and Open Society Georgia Foundation, held exit polls in 500 precincts and among 23,000 voters around Georgia in accordance with the international standards. The results of the party-list elections will be known at 24:00.
