Georgia Fails to Repay Debt to Armenia

Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Khachatrian said on September 23 that Georgia has failed to repay USD 20 million it owes Armenia.

Armenian news agencies reported quoting Khachatrian that Georgia explained its failure to repay debts with the suspension of further loan tranches from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The IMF suspended programs after the Georgian government failed to fulfill recommendations of the fund.
