Georgia Reinforced Borders with Russia

(Tbilisi, July 3, 2003, Civil Georgia) – The Georgian Border Guard Department dispatched additional troops at the Dagestan, Chechen and Ingush sections of the Russo-Georgian border.
 
?Up to 10 addition checkpoints were opened at these sections of the border to secure frontiers. This process ended two days ago [on July 1],? Shalva Londaridze, Spokesman for the Georgian Border Guard Department told Civil Georgia today.
