Experts Discuss Role of Mass Media in Elections

(Tbilisi, June 17 2003, Civil Georgia) – The seminar “Mass Media and Politicians during the Elections” started to work at the Tbilisi Hotel Sympathy today.

The seminar has been organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia in co-operation with the Directorate General of Human Rights of the Council of Europe (CoE).

The issues connected with the role of mass media and its attitude towards the politicians and objective coverage of the elections will be discussed at the seminar.

The representatives of the legislative and executive authorities, non-governmental organizations, international missions, and mass media will take part in the seminar.
