President Unhappy with Businessmen’s Stance

(Tbilisi. April 7, 2003. Civil Georgia) – President Shevardnadze said in his Monday radiobroadcast on April 7 that he is concerned with the statements made by the influential businessmen at the meeting of the Tax Payers Union on April 2.

Representatives of the Georgian business criticized the government for the unfavorable business conditions in the country.

Badri Patarkatsishvili, Tbilisi-based influential tycoon said there are two political parties, which he wanted to see in the government – the New Rights and United Democrats opposition parties.

“These businessmen should remember that I supported them to start and develop business in Georgia,” President Shevardnadze said.
