Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey Hold Talks on BTC in US
(Tbilisi February 25, 2003. Civil Georgia) – President of Georgian International Oil Corporation (GIOC) Giorgi Chanturia visits United States to hold talks regarding the funding of construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum gas pipeline.
GIOC reported today that representatives of Azerbaijan and Turkey also visit the US regarding the issue.
Representatives of the Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey held talks in World Bank. Talks in US Congress are also scheduled.
GIOC also reports that Giorgi Chanturia will hold negotiations with a major US company Northrop Grumman Corp. (NGC) to develop aerial surveillance systems for monitoring of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan export pipeline and adjacent areas.
