Flu Shuts Down Schools in Tbilisi

(Tbilisi February 19, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Ministry of Education closed schools in capital city Tbilisi today till February 29 because of the flu virus.

According to the Georgian Health Care Ministry at least two people died as a result of the flu in last couple of weeks in Tbilisi.

The Education Ministry reports that half of the pupils do not attend the lessons because of the flu.
