Georgia Seized Suspected Terrorist Group

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, December 7, 2002) – Georgian State Security Ministry seized the group of terrorist suspects near Lagodekhi in eastern Georgia.

Nika Laliashvili, Spokesman of the State Security Ministry told the Civil Georgia on December 7 that the during the operation terrorists group exploded a bomb, as a result four of them died and one was injured. Law enforcers captured him.

According to the Security Ministry’s preliminary information the group might be linked to the some of the terrorist acts in the Russian Federation.

Laliashvili said that the details of the operation and the information regarding the alleged terrorist group would be known later today.
