Deputy State Minister Nominated on the Post of Construction Minister

(Tbilisi, November 14, Civil Georgia) – President Shevardnadze nominated Giorgi Isakadze, Deputy State Minister on the post of the Construction and Urbanization Minister on November 13.

The candidature of Giorgi Isakadze is already submitted to the Parliament.

President Shevardnadze dismissed ex-Construction Minister Merab Chkhenkeli on October 23 for numerous illegal constructions that take place in Georgian capital Tbilisi.

The Parliament is also to discuss the draft of the structural reform of the executive government, elaborated in the State Chancellery (President?s administration), which considers cancellation of several ministries including Construction and Urbanization Ministry by end of December 2002.
