Russian, British Officials Discussed Abkhazian Issue
(Tbilisi, November 12, Civil Georgia) – Valeri Loshchinin, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Russian Presidents envoy for the Abkhazian conflict settlement met Peter Ricketts, Director General Political of the UK Foreign Office on November 12.
Russian news agencies report that the situation in Georgia?s breakaway region of Abkhazia was discussed during the meeting.
The UK is actively involving the Abkhazian conflict resolution. On October 1 the UK Foreign Secretary Jack Straw announced that he has appointed Sir Brian Fall as the UK’s Special Representative for Georgia, which will be involved in the Abkhazian conflict issues.
