Russian Security Official in Georgia
(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, August 6, 2002) – Delegation of the Russian Federal Security Service led by the Deputy Head of the Security Service Aleksandr Zhdankov arrived in Tbilisi on August 5, Georgian State Security Ministry reports.
Aleksandr Zhdankov is also a chief of the anti-terrorist department in the Federal Security Service.
With his Georgian counterparts Russian security official will discuss the issue of the bilateral cooperation. It is anticipated that the recent developments in Pankisi and detention of the Chechen armed groups in Georgia will also be discussed.
