Explosive in the Center of Tbilisi

(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, July 16, 2002) – Explosive was found in one of the central parks of Georgian capital Tbilisi, near hotel Tbilisi-Marriott on July 15. The explosive was in the black package. Adjacent streets of the park and the hotel were blocked all the evening by the police.

This is the third case when the explosive was found in this area. In the first two cases explosions occurred causing no casualties.

The law enforcers suppose that competitors of the hotel Tbilisi-Marriott could mastermind previous explosions.
