Provocation is Planned Against the Reformers – MP Says

(Tbilisi, May 20, Civil Georgia) – MP Gia Baramidze, Member of the reformers’ team, stated on May 20 that oligarchs having close relations with the government officials are planning provocation against MP Mikheil Saakashvili and MP Zurab Zhvania, former Head of the Parliament, as well as the whole reformers team.

He said that their liquidation is also intended. “Dirty gossips and disinformation about our teams are planned to be disseminated in the upcoming days and the moral terror will be implemented against us”, Baramidze states.

The MP does not name the source of information but says it was delivered to him from higher branches of the government.

“I am not sure according to which source Baramidze has made the statement but I myself have seen two police cars following Mikheil Saakashvili and watching him”, MP Elene Tevdoradze, former head of the committee on human rights, told the Civil Georgia today.
