USA to Render Military Assistance to Georgia – US Envoy to Russia Says
(Tbilisi, February 23, Civil Georgia) – The United States do not intend to launch military operation in Pankisi gorge, Georgia, US ambassador Aleksandr Vershbow stated in St Petersburg on February 22.
“The US government intends to supply military equipment to help Georgia to control its territory and borders,” Russian new agency RIA Novosti reports, quoting US envoy to Russia.
Ambassador Vershbow stated that Russia does not regard US military assistance to Georgia as a problem.
