Georgia and Poland Expand Cooperation

Tbilisi. November 12. Civil Georgia – Visit of the president of Poland is a beginning of new relations between the two countries. We consider implementation of several economic projects, said President Shevardnadze after meeting Aleksander Kwasniewski, President of Poland on November 12.

President of Poland stated that this visit is a support of Poland to sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, “as well as to President Shevardnadze personally”.

Along with the economic projects, the two presidents discussed issues of military cooperation. Polish president shared experience of Poland’s accession to NATO with Georgian counterpart. The sides have agreed that Poland will assist Georgia in training of boarder guard units.
