Russia Assists Abkhazia to Bomb Kodori Gorge – Defense Ministry of Georgia States

Georgian villages in Kodori valley, Abkhazia, were bombed by Abkhazians with assistance of Russian military forces, Deputy Minister of Defense Gela Bezhuashvili stated. “Georgian government will prove this”, Bezhuashvili announced. 

Boarder Guard Department of Georgia stated that two military jets entered the Georgian airspace over Kodori gorge today prior the bombing of the Georgian villages started. 

Russia tries to maintain Gudauta military base in Abkhazia, as well as to increase its military presence in Georgia.

Defense Ministry of Georgia will not participate in the armed clashes in Abkhazia, Gela Bezhuashvili stated.
