Lord David Resell-Johnston, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe launches a two-day visit to Tbilisi. He will meet the President of Georgia, the Parliamentary Chairman, the Justice Minister and the State Minister today.
It is thought that the monitoring group of the CoE needs to prolong its term of activity in Georgia. As it has been known, the monitoring commission spent two days in Tbilisi in order to determine whether Georgia performs the recommendations of the CoE. It seems the defined time period was not enough.
